From the Heart
Resolved To Trust Him
2009 is proving to be a memorable year. We have our first Black (Afro-American) President. Today there are so many people, family, small businesses, companies, churches, non-profit organizations, etc. that are seemingly experiencing many uncertainties.
The unemployment rate is steadily rising. More and more families have to change their spending habits. They are making tough decisions between buying food, medicines, paying bills, cutting out vacations, or having enough gas to make it to work for the week. In spite of current situations, there is hope!
During this season of life we who are Believers must remember that GOD (Jehovahjireh Ex 22:14) is our Provider. HE is FAITHFUL! HE will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear without providing us a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV). There are two very important things to gain from this text. First, this season and testing isn't anything new for the LORD or HIS people. The Bible tells of times of famine, drought, and persecution on different levels. HE was Faithful to deliver HIS people then and HE will be Faithful concerning our way of escape too. We are not the only people to be tested, tempted with doubt or unbelief, or have our faith tried. Secondly, GOD is Faithful! Remember Daniel in the lions' den (Daniel 6:16,20,22)? The LORD shut the lions' mouths so they could not devour Daniel. There is also the storm that the disciples faced when JESUS rebukes it and said, “…Peace, be still…(Mark 4:38-40).” We can also gain strength from Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3). Our GOD/DELIVER didn't allow the fiery trial they faced to destroy them. HE delivered them too (Dan 3:28)!
After encouraging myself with these Words, I am Resolved to Trust HIM! This doesn't mean that I don't feel the heat of the flames, the wind and rain of the storms, nor the smell of the lion's breath, but I still TRUST HIM! HE was Faithful and HE IS still FAITHFUL! But GOD…(Romans 8:28 “ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”)
If you are wondering what I am talking about. If you don't have a personal relationship with JESUS, then I want to encourage you to get to know HIM. In these testing times HE is the best insurance policy available. HE is not our Sugar Daddy but HE is Faithful to supply the need of HIS people (Philippians 4:19). All of what I have shared above is true and proof of His Faithfulness concerning His people. Believe it or not but having our natural needs met matters to HIM. However HE is more concerned about our eternal place of rest. What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul (Matthew 16:25-27)? Romans 10: 9,10,13 teach you how to have a relationship with HIM and receive HIS peace, joy, love, and daily benefits. Sincerely repeat this or pray this and you too will be saved. Let me be one of the first ones to congratulate you on beginning a relationship with our Heavenly FATHER! Email me and let me know of your new beginning.
Romans 10:9,10,13 9 So you will be saved, if you honestly say, "Jesus is Lord," and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. 10 God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this and tell it to others. 13 All who call out to the Lord will be saved.
